OUR
STORY
The Fort Laramie Historical Association (FLHA) is one of over 65 non-profit, cooperating associations throughout the nation who partner with the National Park Service. Through this partnership, FLHA offers program and financial assistance to Fort Laramie National Historic Site for interpretation, education, and research through the production and sale of educational media to the public.
At the first annual meeting of the FLHA in December 1956, gross sales were $1,000 of which $150 went for museum equipment and library books. Over sixty years later, FLHA's gross sales continue to grow with profits directly donated to projects and activities at Fort Laramie National Historic Site.
The FLHA publishes an annual newsletter called The Post Bugler which keeps the membership informed on issues concerning the association and the fort. A new addition to our information sources is the launch of this website and our info-emails called the e-Bugler.
Becoming a member of the FLHA allow you to be directly involved in preserving part of our nation's history for generations to come. To learn more about the benefits of becoming a member, go to the Membership menu.
FLHA hires seasonal employees to work in our Bookstore and in the Enlisted Men's Bar. To learn more about what we have to offer, go to the Jobs menu.
